Find your purpose

 If you ask someone what's his purpose in life, he will tell you about his goals and how he will be satisfied after achieving them. But something is wrong here.

Happiness was never related to achieving goals.

Do you really think you will be happy after achieving your goals?

Never.

Do you want to know what is the only thing that gives you happiness? Yes, just one thing. Of course it's not buying the house of your dreams or to be promoted in your job. These are goals. But what gives you real and immortal happiness is; Progress

Progress = Happiness

Achieving goals ā‰  Happiness

We naturally only feel satisfied when we are doing something to improve  ourselves or our lives. Every aspect of life is urging us to develop.

We begin to experience pain, fear and anxiety when we stop developing. As we turn around and observe what others have that we don't, we become vulnerable to jealousy. We begin craving dignity, financial possessions, and power instead of questioning "What is my purpose in life?". But ultimately, all of those things will leave you feeling empty.

Setting goals such as purchasing a home or starting a business, gives you a sense of accomplishment and is crucial to leading the life you want. These objectives are raised even further by purpose.

That's why we need purpose in our lives

But before moving further, we have to highlight the difference between goal and purpose;

The difference between a goal and a purpose is that a purpose refers to the frequently unrecognized motive driving what you consistently do to assist others.

 But a goal is a precise result you want to get in a certain amount of time.

 What I mean is a goal is about making progress in a given direction to get a certain result in a certain amount of time.

While A purpose frequently involves making choices, taking action, making sacrifices, and cultivating a desire to improve a condition that affects more people than just oneself.

Not all of us know what our purpose is and this is not a problem. But staying in the same phase without a purpose and without even trying to find a purpose can be a problem.

Finding the purpose of life seems more crucial than ever in the modern technologically advanced world when we are constantly being dragged in several directions.

Many people spend their entire lives responding to situations rather than taking actions and identifying the needs and beliefs that motivate them. They frequently confuse their mission with a short-term objective, even though they believe they are aware of it.

 Many other people who are asking themselves this question genuinely want to find meaning in life, but they are unsure of how to do it.

 Some are hiding from answering the question "What is my purpose?" because they are fooling themselves that they're fulfilled; money, house, family.

Or they just answer with "I don't have time to search for my purpose". Sorry but, do you even have a life? Is what you're living now called a happy and fulfilled life? Do you really think that building a house, earning money and starting a family is the real meaning of life? Where's your purpose? If the life you're living doesn't have a purpose then it cannot be a life. It can never be.

It's not that they don't have time but the truth is they're lacking two things;

Certainty: What I mean here is that routines allow us to conserve mental energy, and  staying in our comfort zones can prevent us from experiencing anxiety and suffering emotional or physical harm. However, it also inhibits growth. It keeps us in bad relationships and unfulfilling careers. It keeps us from discovering our purpose.

And the second thing is restricting attitudes: The stories we tell ourselves about who we are have the power to either advance us or keep us back.

Limiting attitudes such as "I am not good enough" and "I don't deserve to be happy" result in self-destructive and panic behaviors. Finding our purpose is made possible by our conviction that we are not constrained by anything in life.

Beside the question "What is your purpose?" people often ask "How can I find my purpose?". And once you ask that question, you're on the right path. You're already convincing yourself that you have a purpose and you really want to find it.

In order to identify your purpose, you must be able to blend the science of  achievement with the art of satisfaction, which opens the door to pleasure and meaningful life.

First, you already have everything you need.

Your own limiting thoughts are the only thing keeping you back.

You gain more self-awareness which each limiting thought you recognize and replace with an empowering idea. You can control your life when you have control over your emotions.

To answer the question "What is my purpose?" you must first understand the ideal world and your place in it.

Finding out what life would be like if everyone was achieving their full potential is a necessary step in developing a life vision statement. This two techniques may assist you in creating a road map that will lead you in the right way.

 Place purpose ahead of goals:

 You won't ever discover your actual passion or figure out how to find your purpose if all of your attention is on accomplishing short-term goals.

You must always base your ambitions on discovering your mission. If they're not, you will just get a momentary sense of satisfaction and will soon start looking for something else.

The fact that life is happening for you rather than to you won't be apparent to you.

Recognizing your limitations is a necessary step in discovering your mission.

Give yourself a break rather than getting upset with yourself. Learn more about oneself gradually by acting as an observer. You can discover the significance you're looking for as you develop self-compassion and self-awareness.

Being tolerant with yourself entails practicing self-compassion.

It can be incredibly unsettling to feel lost in life. Even though you might be frustrated, be kind to yourself.

Every person who has ever asked themselves the question "What is my purpose?" started off in a state of ambiguity. Because of their hesitation, they dug deep and discovered deeper meaning.

Be flexible:

Letting rid of previous identities and activities that no longer serve us is one of the most difficult aspects of learning how to find your purpose. However, it still needs to be done.

 As you develop and change, your life's purpose is likely to do the same. You must be prepared to be adaptable and to pay attention to your innermost needs and desires.

Finding your mission requires a lifetime of effort. Being adaptable enables you to stay loyal to who you are while developing your integrity. "What is my purpose in life?" Will be lot simpler to answer if you define your basic beliefs and stop looking for outside validation.

Final words

The key to leading a full life is to recognize, accept and honor your purpose. It calls for some bravery because it raises issues and concepts that not might be convenient. But it is worth it. Your sense of purpose gives you an internal compass that directs all of your choices and points you in the direction of the life-affirming experiences.

All love and support
