Chakras & Planets
Have you ever wondered what the actual world is like when you gaze up at the sky?
Humanity has been attempting to answer this issue since the beginning of time. In order to get a better understanding of our solar system and the rest of the universe, astronomers have documented the celestial bodies that circle our planet over the years.
While ancient explorers were very interested in the outside world, they also always made time to investigate the inner world and look for a link between the two.
Numerous cultures (Babylonians, Egyptians, and Greeks) have a long history of looking up to the stars in order to make natal charts, forecast the weather, and prepare for natural calamities, even though astrology, which searches for signals and clues in the movements of cosmic objects, is not a science in and of itself.
According to astrology, each planet represents a distinct set of qualities and traits and governs a certain area in our life.
The same idea holds true for our system's seven main chakras, each of which governs a distinct facet of our awareness and personality.
This article will attempt to establish a connection between our chakras and the characteristics of the planets in the solar system.
Chakras and Planets:
Numerous charts featuring chakras and their related planets can be found online, but few of them include an explanation of the rationale for their pairings.
Although the ten planets in our natal charts (birth charts) are identical for everyone, their manifestation will vary greatly depending on your zodiac sign.
As they travel across the sky, each of these planets passes through different signs of the zodiac, and the energy they contain manifests differently depending on the sign.
Let's quickly review the names and locations of the planets in our solar system, which you are most likely already familiar with.
Our solar system consists of eight primary planets, starting with the:
- Sun
- Mercury
- Earth
- Venus
- Mars
- Jupiter
- Saturn
- Neptune
- Uranus
In astrology, the sun and the moon are both referred to as planets and are known as the "luminaries." We realize, of course, that these are not planets from an astronomical perspective (the sun is a star). Nevertheless, the final chakra-planet chart will incorporate them.
Based on their energy characteristics, the planets in the solar system may be divided into three groups:
- The sun, Mars, Jupiter, Pluto are members of the Active Masculine Group (Yang)
- The moon, Venus, Saturn, and Neptune are members of the Passive Feminine Group (Yin)
- Earth, Mercury, and Uranus are members of the Neutral Group (De)
The odd or masculine chakras:
The root chakra, the solar plexus, and the throat chakra
The even or feminine chakras:
The sacral chakra, the heart, and the third eye chakra.
Additionally, each planet has a distinct hue that corresponds to it, as do our chakras. It's crucial to keep in mind, though, that many of the stunning images of the planets in our solar system are captured using specialized photographic filters and that we may be viewing misleading colors.
The Mooladhara is our first chakra, and it is situated beneath the spinal cord. This center, also called the root chakra, is ruled by Mars, who is also the ruler of the sign of Aries. It stands for knowledge, a close bond with the soil and life, innocence, purity, and a youthful delight. Having a strong chakra within ourselves allows us to act wisely and decisively, discover the proper path of life, and make the right choices. Mars is a planet that symbolizes kindness and friendliness, as well as physical prowess and activity. Mars has a strong, innate, and occasionally instinctual energy.
Our activity is infused with positive Mars energy, physical vigor, and boldness. Because of this vitality, we approach every day with the excitement of a kid and a renewed desire to learn about life.
According to astrology, Mars controls a person's sexual energy. A person who is severely impacted by Mars goes to extremes. Similar to this, the reproductive functions are governed by the Mooladhara chakra, and excesses and harmful items also damage its sensitivity. As our first chakra strengthens, we are able to sense our inherent purity and are motivated to live appropriately.
Mercury is in charge of our second chakra, the Swadisthan, which is situated in the region of our belly. According to astrology, Mercury rules the signs of Virgo and Gemini. This chakra's primary role is to break down stomach fat cells and supply the energy required to regenerate white and gray brain cells. It also improves our ability to think. This chakra fosters our artistic sensibility and inventiveness in many spheres of life. This chakra gives us intellect, the capacity to comprehend things clearly, and the ability to solve difficulties in our lives in a useful way. In astrology, Mercury is the symbol for creativity, intellect, and the mind.
Through this chakra, pure wisdom enters our being from the Greater Consciousness. Mercury acts as a mediator between the intellect, matter, and spirit. It covers science and the beautiful arts. Even the most complicated ideas and challenging concepts can be connected by strong Mercury energy in the birth chart.
The third chakra, known as the Nabhi, is situated in the region of our stomach. This chakra stands for contentment, harmony, ethics, giving, and the ability to change. Jupiter, which is also the sign that controls Sagittarius, is the governing planet. Jupiter is a kind, giving, helping, and moral planet. It multiplies everything, both good and bad, and brings riches. The planet of good fortune is this one. This planet controls our financial riches. Our third chakra provides us with material and spiritual well-being. A healthy Nabhi chakra helps us be extremely giving when needed and lets us feel content with what we have.
The third chakra resembles a two-doored dwelling. The cycle continues as wealth flows in via one door and out the other. We don't beg for more since the universal energy gives us what we need.
When Jupiter is not working well, it represents a personality that is unbalanced and unsure. To the extent of tyranny, the individual may engage in fanaticism and extreme thought. Without thinking, he might borrow and go into debt. A person would also pursue luxury if they had such energy.
The fourth chakra is the heart chakra, which provides detachment, self-confidence, compassion, pure love, and the ability to be a good parent. Above all, our spirit, which is nothing but love, resides in our hearts. Venus, which controls the signs of Taurus and Libra and is a symbol of beauty, love, and the arts, is its governing planet.
A Venus in good working order brings beauty and harmony wherever it is. It gives an individual a pleasant feeling.
A person with a strong Venus in their birth chart is significantly more beautiful; this beauty emanates from a person's inner essence and influences their conduct and disposition.
The Vishuddhi is the name of the fifth chakra. This chakra, which is situated in the region of our throat, gives us a sense of belonging to the whole. When this chakra is open, we feel as though we are one with the cosmos, the natural world, and other people. Saturn is the planet in charge of this energy point. Aquarius and Capricorn are likewise ruled by Saturn. The fifth chakra is also in charge of our internal capacity to distinguish between good and wrong.
When Saturn is not working well, it produces a negative personality that is self-pitying and unable to perceive the positive aspects of life.
The Agnya is the sixth chakra, and it's situated in the forehead. The Sun is the dominant planet. The ego and our conditioning are housed in the Agnya chakra. Contrarily, the sun shapes our personality and sense of self in accordance with the energy of the sign in which it is located. "I" is the important word. Our primary sign is that of the sun, which also represents the evolutionary stage at which we were born and the lessons we must learn in this life. It helps us define who we are.
The soft fontanelle region on top of our skull when we were little is our Sahasrara, the seventh chakra. The moon, which also controls the sign of Cancer, is the ruling planet. All of the chakras on top of our head combine to form the Sahasrara chakra, which is located above all others. The moon controls our thoughts, feelings, and instincts. The seventh chakra's opening creates a strong bond between ourselves and the cosmic energy and aids in the integration of our internal chakras. A person is carried beyond awareness by this integration.
