Boost your Mental & Physical Energy

What comes to mind when you think about energy? Is it only the physical endurance needed to drive, walk or move? Or is it the mental devotion you require to concentrate, think and feel?

In actuality, our daily endeavors draw from two separate energy sources; Mental and Physical.

The physical one is rather simple. Our muscles and limbs require this energy in order to walk, jump or even just sit.

However, there is the more elusive form of mental energy. This fuels your feelings, focus and the ability to take in and digest information.

Despite their seeming differences; one eternal, powered by the brain, and the other external, driven by body functions. These two are actually connected. One can support or destroy the other - Mind and Body connection -

Here's an intriguing twist, though. The mental and physical energy of these twins are not equal. The opposite is true, though a demanding workout may leave you physically exhausted without affecting your mental state. Your physical vitality nearly always suffers after a mentally demanding day.

Why!? There are limits to our bodies. There is limit to how much you sleep, eat or run. Humans can only use roughly 2.5 times as much energy as they do while they are at rest according to study.

However, the mind? It's a huge, boundless space. It can only be bounded by the chains we put on ourselves.

To put it briefly, energy is about making the most of life, not merely getting through the day.

   I. Physical Energy:

  1. Reasons behind your low physical energy:
          a. What causes lack of energy?

  • Psychological reasons:
➔ When there is simply no spark:

Some people put things off due to mental health issues like depression or anxiety. They hold them back like unseen chains. Others are lost because they don't have a defined purpose that provide life direction and color. It is more draining to feel aimless than to run a physical marathon.

There are several different factors that can cause you to lose motivation quickly, like:

Every road appears obscure in the fog of uncertainty.

The overwhelming burden of loss, a sadness so profound that it obscures the future.

The silent voice of poor self esteem that never stops doubting your value.

  • Lifestyle related reasons:
➔ The triple threat: Alcohol, Smoking & Drugs:

It is Saturday night, You could pour a glass of wine for yourself. You might light a cigarette to unwind, or you might be tempted to try something more potent. These times provide a brief reprieve, but what are the true coasts?

Drinking red wine once in a while doesn't seem alarming, but if you do it too often, your body will start to suffer the price.

There is also smoking, we are aware of its dangerous effects because we have been inundated with advertisements and awareness efforts.

In addition, to causing physical harm, they can also deceive you with mental games. It's supported by science, so it's not simply rumor. Long-term drug use and mental health problem can become entangled, making it difficult to distinguish between the two.

Choosing the fleeting pleasure could ultimately deprive your life of its long-term vitality.

Think you cannot get rid of these dangerous addictions? This may help you: Break up with your Bad habits.

    2. What are the benefits of balanced energy levels?

The body is dynamic, energetic force that can be thought of a set of complex energy equations. The entire system begins to falter if one of those equations is out of balance.

Like a window crack that alters the entire house's temperature. Everything else starts to fall into place when you concentrate on boosting your energy levels organically and balancing your energy equations.

You will shed extra pounds. You will experience fewer cold annually and strengthen your immune system. At night, you will sleep like a baby. You wrinkles will disappear and your skin will glow. Your connections will be ignited. You will be more productive and capable of finishing tasks. You will understand how to have it both ways without compromising anything. You will be better equipped to handle stress and deal with anything life throws at you. Your level of happiness and wellbeing will increase. And the drive to keep going forward with strength and hope will come to you naturally.

You are the driver of this adventure rather than merely a passenger. You're never alone in this path, whether it involves changing your diet, stopping smoking, or consulting a professional. All you need to do is look for the available guides below:

      3. Ways to increase my physical energy level:

  • Water:
Water is the queen of all beverages, therefore, let's start this list with it!
It's the only energy drink I advise you guys with. Drink a large glass of water next time you feel lethargic and fatigued.
It's likely that you haven't been drinking enough water to keep your body functioning correctly if your energy levels are still dropping even after you've adopted healthy eating and sleeping practices. Increase your daily water consumption if you need to get rid of the headaches and exhaustion that come with dehydration.
  • Sea Food:
Sardines, also known as "Brain food", salmon, and tuna provide excellent stimulating lunch or supper choices. They are a good source of vitamin B, which is essential of turning food into energy, and protein.
  • Grain Bread:
About 70 calories, primarily from carbs, are found in slice of whole grain bread. Carbs are quickly broken down by the body, giving you an immediate energy boost.
An added benefit is that whole grain bread contains complex carbohydrates, which enables energy to be released gradually and steadily, enabling you to stay active for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Avocadoes:
In actuality, avocadoes are nature's biggest achievers. They are a high-fat snack that is also rich in B vitamins, strong antioxidants, and good fiber.
Avocados' high fatty acid content aid in absorption of nutrients and keep your energy levels stable throughout the day.
They combine well with other ingredients to create a delicious dinner and are heart-healthy and weight-loss friendly.

  • Dark chocolate:
Dark chocolate is the tastiest item on the list, but it may not be the healthiest.

Dark chocolate is the great energy boost, whether you attempt to avoid it or it's your favorite snack. But because it contains less sugar, it will provide you sustained energy rather than just a sugar rush.

Look for bars that have more than 75% cocoa when browsing the dark chocolate aisles. In this manner you will gain from this antioxidants included in cocoa, such flavonoids, which improves energy sustainability.

  •  Dried fruits:
Numerous fruits, including dried cranberries, cherries, and goji berries, provide instant energy. They are rich in antioxidants, fiber and minerals. They also include a lot of vitamin D, which aids in the delivery of energy to the muscles.

The choices are nearly limitless, whether you're searching for food high in carbohydrates for a quick energy boost or food high in protein and good fats that will keep you going all day. There are plenty of nutritious food that may provide you with energy quickly, so keep that in mind, when life becomes hectic and you need a quick boost to get through your days.

Vigilance is necessary to maintain your energy levels, according to Czerwony. To be honest, it's far simpler to be exhausted than to feel energized. A single slip-up can make you feel unmotivated and more inclined to sleep than to explore.

However, you can get a healthy boost to be at your best all day long by making routine adjustments and eating better at regular basis. Try it out and find out by yourself.

   II. Mental energy:

How frequently do you observe your mental vitality? Do you take proactive care for it? or do you wait until you are completely overloaded or until "brain fog" sets it?

The majority of us focus more on our physical energy needs and to our mental ones?. Naturally, they support one another, so by looking after one, you are also helping the other?.

However our brain is a vital organ that influences every part of our lives, so maybe it should receive more attention than it does.

Additionally, it consumes 20% of the energy in our bodies. Because maintaining that lovely structure in top shape is costly, we must show it some love by being aware of the mental energy we use.

First of all, let's see why all the time you're feeling mentally exhausted:

          1. What causes mental tiredness?:

In many ways, anxiety's opposite is mental toughness and forward-thinkingness.

The uncomfortable feelings do have a purpose when you consider what anxiety is and why it occurs. The purpose of anxiety is to make us aware of possible dangers so we can take precautions against them. But when fear paralyzes us, it turns maladaptive or unhelpful.

We may fight back against the forces of dread and anxiety and avoid immobility by having mental strength. We can better reframe the worry and hear what it's trying to tell us when we strengthen our mind. What results do we need to consider?

What could possibly go wrong? In order to increase our chances of success, how can we get ready for it?

     2. The importance of being mentally strong:

Knowing what to listen to and what not to listen to is a key component of success in life. Criticism from both the inside and the outside might easily put you off balance. Developing mental toughness makes it far simpler to maintain concentrate in the face of fear or disagreement.

Developing self-awareness and, consequently, emotional control abilities, also requires discretion. You will become more tolerant of your unpleasant feelings as you learn to sit with them. You will eventually, come to understand which feelings are worthwhile pursuing and which ones you should ignore.

We are less terrified of failing when we are mentally strong. It is easier for us to switch into problem-solving mode even when we are anxious about the possible consequences. Because we believe in ourselves more, we are more assured of our capacity to solve problems. More significantly, we are certain that we can endure the worst-case situation.

  • Flexibility:
By improving our problem-solving skills, we become more flexible and adaptive. We focus more on how we can accomplish the intended results and less on what's not working out. We are also willing to consider the possibility that there are multiple successful paths, solutions, or outcomes. Because we don't fear change, we don't become hopelessly addicted to having things go our way.

Exercise and mental fitness share many parallels, not the least of which is the significance of your daily routine. These daily routines will also help you when you need to be mentally tough. Therefore, practicing in each of these areas below, is essential to building mental strength:

       3. How to develop mental strength:

Being mindful helps you being better at responding rather than reacting. It gives you the ability to choose a response that suits you by slowing down the stimulus-reaction loop. Most people require this ability, but it will eventually come in helpful when you least expect it.

You may find that you are less prone to argue with your partner or to feel less nervous when speaking with your manager.

Choose your mindfulness practice that suits your lifestyle and that you love from the variety available in this article : Focus

It's a common misconception that punishing ourselves will make us more productive, yet this isn't true at all. In fact, developing self-compassion aids in resilience building.

We can maintain a growth mentality and prevent the negative spiral by concentrating on our strength rather than all of our shortcoming. "That didn't go so well, but here's what I learned.... and how I can do better next time", is a useful statement to make.

  • Keep your connections strong:
One interpersonal interactions are among the best indicators of life satisfaction. Don't attempt to accomplish it by yourself. Loved ones must be near us in order to support us during difficult times, enjoy our victories, and encourage us.

In addition to your coach and therapist, your family and friends also serve as your support system. Don't forget to have fun. Enjoy yourself, spend times with those you care about, and pursue your happiness. Joy keeps us going when we want to give up and protect us from stress.

It's possible that you won't give mental energy much thought until it starts to run short. An underlying mental health issue, such as depression, may occasionally be indicated by a persistent lack of mental energy. The above-mentioned advice can serve as a starting point for filling up your tank before the needle reaches "E".

Final words

Just like physical strength isn't solely about working out constantly, mental strength isn't just about pushing forward. Finding balance means being able to push and be praised, work and play, love and lose, and do all of these things with equal ease and grace.

All love and support
